We have stayed at the Super 8. It is next door to a strip joint, but is clean and has an indoor pool and the price is usually one of the cheapest. I know someone (Larry Cleveland) who has stayed at the Motel 6 and he claims they are the cheapest, especially if you just need a place to shower and sleep. I think my brother Rick and his wife are staying there.
