Anna was a huge success. Larry had nothing but high praise for the quarter midgets, not only on how the drivers put on a great race but how the handlers worked well together and Larry did not have to yell once at us. The seven winners were Garmen, the Marks kids, the Lesiecki kids, McCune, and LaLonde. Larry also supplied two trophies since we combined the two classes and that was nice of him because I did not expect him to even get one since we did not pay an entry fee and only was racing for fun. If you really want to know who crossed the finish line when get a hold of one of these families and ask them. To me everyone won. To bad as we speak the track is being taken down and made into a motorcross track for dirt bikes. We will be racing there again next year and Larry did say the quarter midgets have found a home if they want it.
I forgot to mention this when I sent out the entry forms last week but Tony Barhorst is only passing out 150 parking passes for the Ft Wayne race. The parking passes will be given out based on when I receive your entry form and check and I have to tell Tony and he is keeping a list. Once those 150 passes are gone you must pay for your own parking. Parking I believe is $4 per day. It may be more for bigger rigs. So far I have received 4 entries and I only sent out entry forms last Tuesday.
Also, Larry is running his karting series November 14 in Columbus. Larry feels uncomfortable running quarter midgets with the situation. So if you REALLY want to race and support Larry email him and tell him how you feel. His email address is labracer@bright.net. I will not mention it to Larry until I hear something back from him. I will be there no matter what helping Larry so I have it down on my schedule already. Do not forget that this will be strictly for FUN.
If you have any comment or question just let me know. 440-288-9526.
Again thank you to those who came to Anna.
David
